ICT outsourcing can be stated as 1 of the current trends for businesses about the globe to do their business processes. It is estimated that ICT outsourcing begins in the early 1990s where Kodak uses external companion to handle its ICT sources. As Kodak does not have the experience in ICT, they hire yet another company to assist them manage the ICT resources. This phenomenon happens because companies would like to concentrate their core business functions among other advantages. After merely 20 years, outsourcing is now required by a lot of organizations largely at client support and also back-office processes and this impacts Malaysia as effectively. Currently, Malaysia is known as a principal outsourcing hub for the world, where it is currently ranked third globally behind China and India in the outsourcing market. This shows how considerable outsourcing is to building nations in Asia.

Outsourcing Definition

Outsourcing is defined as a concept of contracting out part of the organization's business method to a third celebration that has the specific skills and solutions. The third party must have the abilities needed by the organization so that the outcome of the outsourced job is as expected. Outsourcing can also be explained as the movement of one or many business functions of a organization including its assets to an outside service provider who gives a defined service for an agreed duration of time and payment on a written agreement.
